Day 1 Fly Addis Ababa- Lalibela - Ethiopian airline 50 Minutes

Pick up from the airport & begin your tour by visiting the first group of rock-hewn churches, which are located in the northern part of the town. These churches include Bete Medhane Alem, the largest monolithic church in the world, and Bete Maryam, known for its beautiful frescoes. Explore the interconnected complex of churches, known as the Second Group. This group includes Bete Golgotha, which is believed to house the tomb of King Lalibela, and Bete Mikael, famous for its intricate carvings and artwork.

Visit the iconic church of Bete Giyorgis (St. George), which is located slightly away from the main cluster of churches. This church is carved in the shape of a cross and is one of the most visually striking structures in Lalibela.

Lunch: Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant and savor traditional Ethiopian cuisine. In Lalibela, you can try dishes like doro wat (spicy chicken stew), injera (sourdough flatbread), and kitfo (minced raw meat seasoned with spices).

Afternoon: Visit the Third Group of rock-hewn churches, located to the southeast of the town. This group includes Bete Amanuel, known for its elegant architectural design, and Bete Abba Libanos, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Explore the Fourth Group of churches, situated on a hillside. This group includes Bete Gabriel-Rufael, Bete Merkorios, and Bete Emmanuel. These churches are smaller in size but equally fascinating, with unique features and beautiful artwork.

End the day by visiting the underground church of Bete Giyorgis, also known as the Tomb of Adam. This church is located outside the main cluster of churches and requires a short hike to reach. It offers a peaceful and serene atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery.
