Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa to Jinka

• Fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka Airport
• Visit the Ari tribe village and learn about their unique cultural traditions, traditional farming practices, and vibrant handicrafts
• Explore the bustling Jinka Market, known for its diverse array of handmade goods, local produce, and lively atmosphere
• Overnight at the ECO-OMO Lodge, a comfortable eco-lodge that provides an immersive experience in the heart of the Omo Valley

Day 2: Jinka to Turmi

• Drive from Jinka to the Mursi tribe village, renowned for the distinctive lip plates worn by the women and their pastoral way of life
• Observe the Mursi people's daily activities, such as cattle herding, traditional ceremonies, and the creation of their iconic body adornments
• On the way to Turmi, visit local tribal markets, where you can interact with various indigenous communities and purchase authentic handicrafts
• Arrive in Turmi, the hub of the Hamar tribe, and attend a traditional Bull Jumping ceremony, if available, which is a rite of passage for young men
• Explore the Hamar tribe villages, learning about their unique cultural practices, such as the decorative scarification of women's backs
• Overnight Buska lodge

Day 3: Turmi to Konso

• Drive from Turmi to the Nyangatom tribe villages, known for their intricate body painting and warrior traditions
• Return to Turmi and then head to the Karo tribe villages, famous for their striking body art and face painting techniques
• Spend the afternoon in the Konso region, visiting the terraced agricultural landscapes and learning about the UNESCO-recognized Konso cultural landscape
• Overnight Konso Hills

Day 4: Konso to Addis Ababa

• Start the day by exploring the Konso villages, observing the traditional architecture, handicrafts, and cultural practices of this fascinating community
• Drive to Arba Minch and take a boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you may spot hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds
• Fly back from Arba Minch to Addis Ababa, concluding your immersive journey through the diverse cultures of the Omo Valley

Day 5: Fly Arbaminch Addis Ababa
